New EIKONAS Masterclass for Analog Photography: Slow Down and Rediscover the Magic of Analog Photography

Join us for a two-day masterclass on February 24th and 25th, where you’ll learn the art of analog photography and create beautiful, timeless images. Günther Achleitner of EIKONAS Photography will guide you through the process, from loading film to developing and converting your own photographs into digital files.

We’ll start the first day with an introduction to the basics of analog photography, including the theory of light, proper exposure, and the unique qualities of color negative film. You’ll have the opportunity to try out a range of classic analog cameras, including rangefinders and SLRs.

The second day will focus on the enchanting genres of street photography and street portraiture. We’ll venture out into the city to capture candid moments and engage with fascinating individuals. You’ll learn how to use zone focusing and master the art of street portraiture with the help of a professional model.

But the magic doesn’t end there! You’ll also have the opportunity to develop and print your own photographs in our fully-equipped darkroom. Our instructor will be there to guide you every step of the way.

The masterclass includes:

  • Loan cameras (Leica IIIf, Leica M3, Leica M6 – all rangefinders, Leica 4c, Minolta X700 as analog 35mm SLRs, Mamiya 645 analog medium format)
  • 2 35mm Kodak Gold 200 films per participant
  • Darkroom development and printing of your photos
  • Masterclass materials
  • Snacks and drinks
  • Model release for non-commercial image publication

The masterclass takes place on February 24th and 25th, from 10am to 6pm each day. The price is €499 per participant, including 20% VAT.
